AHS assists Kilcoy leg of Queen’S Baton Relay

AHS is proud to have played a small part in history when the Queen’s Baton Relay passed through Kilcoy in the lead-up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

AHS arranged for Uncle Noel Blair, Elder at Jinibara People Aboriginal Corporation, to give the Welcome to Country at Kilcoy’s Queen’s Baton Relay Community Celebrations on behalf of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) and Somerset Regional Council (SRC).

The celebrations were attended by Deb Frecklington, State Member for Nanango, Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Liberal National Party, and Graeme Lehmann, Somerset Regional Council Mayor.
