A crucial restoration and conservation project that has given Rockhampton’s landmark Archer Park Rail Museum a new lease on life has received special recognition at the 2018 National Trust Queensland Heritage Awards. The successful project was delivered by Australian Heritage Specialists for Rockhampton Regional Council.

WORK NEARS COMPLETION ON WYNNUM LANDMARK

A major $3 million refurbishment of one of Brisbane’s most prominent heritage buildings is nearing completion. Wynnum’s landmark Mount Carmel Convent, now known as the Mount Carmel Centre, is undergoing an extensive revitalisation to transform the two-storey building into a vibrant space featuring commercial offices and a function centre.

Stanley River Environmental Education Centre’s (SREEC) biennial Bunya to the Bay Eco Adventure has taken out the coveted Minister’s Grand Prize in the 2017 Healthy Land and Water Awards as well as the Sustainable Education Award.

INDIGENOUS PROGRAM WINS COVETED STATE AWARD

Stanley River Environmental Education Centre’s (SREEC) biennial Bunya to the Bay Eco Adventure has taken out the coveted Minister’s Grand Prize in the Healthy Land and Water Awards as well as the Sustainable Education Award. AHS has been instrumental in facilitating the positive participation of Traditional Owners in the project.
